Frequently Asked Questions

What Should I Expect During My Guided Sound Bath Meditation Session?

Your practice is shaped by my voice in a guided meditative journey. Because our mind tends to wander, many of us find it easier to focus and relax when we aren’t left to distractions. I create my own journeys, often starting in a physical or mythical place, and I weave alignment and clearing throughout the piece. After initial intention setting, understanding the process and a body scan visualization to release tension, I then take you on our journey (accompanied by recorded background music). I will also shower you with an interlude of live, sound healing instruments before the conclusion of the meditation. The session will end with integration and relaxation.

What Do I Do During My Session?

Wear comfortable clothes. You are fully clothed with shoes off, sitting in a chair or on the floor, or lying down. There is no need for action, just be present and listen to my prompts.  There is no one "right" way to meditate. If you fall asleep, that may be just what you need for your subconscious mind to take the journey, unwind and heal. It takes practice.

What Happens After My Session?

A sound bath meditation session typically makes you feel centered, relaxed and calm. It is like waking from a restorative nap. However, releasing tension and trapped emotions through meditating may result in many feelings, emotions and memories coming up to be released. This can make you initially feel more tired after the experience. This too is normal as it can be the body's mechanism for needed rest and healing. We each experience meditation differently. The is no one "right" way to feel. Drink plenty of water after the session and allow yourself to slowly transition back into your daily life and be kind to YOU!

If you are a beginner...

I suggest you start with a block of 5 sessions to develop the skill. I then recommended bi-monthly for grounding (or however frequent that feels right to you).

“Meditation can help us embrace our worries, fear, and anger, and that is very healing. We let our own natural capacity of healing do the work."
